Every Child Ministries

Every Child Ministries

Every Child Ministries' vision is for the forgotten children of the entire African continent. While we seek to reach out to all African countries through our website, www.teachingafrica.com, at the present time most of our on-the-ground work is centered in three countries -- the Democratic Republic of Congo in Central Africa (Also called DRC or DR Congo, formerly called Zaire), Ghana, West Africa (formerly called Gold Coast), and Uganda, East Africa. From Congo, efforts have been made to reach out to Congo Brazzaville and to Angola and one trainer was trained in Congo from the Central African Republic. From Ghana, efforts are being actively made to reach out to Togo and Benin, which are said to be the least-evangelized non-Muslim countries in Africa. Major efforts will begin in those countries in 2007.
Congo is basically a French-speaking work, with heavy use of local languages like Kituba, Lingala, and Tshiluba. Ghana is an English-speaking ministry, but ECM's work to uneducated groups like the street children and trokosi slave children involves local languages, especially Twi and Ewe.
Work in Uganda and southern "New Sudan" began in October 2006, including training for children's ministries and help for children in the war-devastated areas of the north around Gulu.  ECM is now seeking missionaries to serve in the IDP (internally displaced persons) and refugee camps and to train nationals for children's ministries.
