Man Sentenced for Sex Trafficking Minors

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A Memphis man has been sentenced to 25 years in a federal prison and 10 years supervised release for his role in sex trafficking minors across state lines.
Sentencing took place for 43-year-old Leonard Fox, who is also known as Daddy, Wednesday. Fox pleaded guilty in February 2009 to a federal civil rights charge for sex trafficking of minors. Fox admitted to recruiting and obtaining underage girls and arranging for those girls to engage in commercial sex acts for his financial benefit.

"Leonard Fox will be off the streets of Memphis for 25 years and will no longer be able to prey upon the innocence of young girls and profit at their expense," said U. S. Attorney Laurenzi.

The FBI said agents rescued more than 45 suspected teenage prostitutes, some as young as 13, in a nationwide sweep last year to remove kids from the illegal sex trade and punish their accused pimps.
