Santa Barbara Prostitution Ring

Local Prostitution Ring Under Investigation
KEYT Assignment Desk
Santa Barbara - The FBI is investigating a Santa Barbara case involving a male suspect accused of human trafficking, after allegedly running an interstate prostitution ring locally.

Police say this case involves a 20-year-old man, who would drive from city to city with two women, forced into prostitution.

The alleged pimp would advertise in advance on Craigslist in cities like Santa Barbara. Detectives claim he operated the mobile prostitution ring at a motels on upper State Street.

The man arrested is Patrick Boston, who is being charged with human trafficking and pandering. He was picked up just up the coast in Morro Bay.

Boston is being held in the Santa Barbara County Jail without bail. Prosecutors argued that he would be a danger to the women if he was out on bail.

A break in the case came when one of the women made an emergency call to her mother in Nebraska, who then called police in Santa Barbara.
